Fordray began trading in New South Wales, Australia in 1987, producing a single product – the NERIKI ImageMaster Genlock. This broadcast quality unit allowed TV studios to use the ‘video friendly’ range of Amiga computers to place computer graphics and titles over a video source. Fordray coined the now industry standard term ‘genlock’ to describe it’s new product. In 1989 a new model was introduced (the DeskTop) offering a configuration more closely catering for home and semi-professional videographers.

NERIKI Genlocks are still used worldwide in such diverse fields as home movie titles, school projects, commercial and government department training videos, wedding videos, video releases and television overlays & logos. Even NASA has purchased units for in-house video productions.

Fordray today offers a range of professional quality and excellent value electronic products. Our flagship products are our low to medium power FM and UHF TV transmission systems and we have now sold these units all over Australia and neighbouring countries. We currently have units such as our 100 Watt FM transmitters operating reliably in such technologically hostile environments as the tropical climate of Papua New Guinea and the deserts of  Australia.
